A few comments on the readings....
I like the aspect of e-mail interviewing, it has its advantages and disadvantages like everything else does. I agreed with all the advantages put forth such as being comfortable, not expensive, access etc.
As for using the internet to check health related things, I would say that is somewhat reliable. I use this as a first step, however I do so because it's fast and easy. Also no one wants to run to the clinic or the hospital for every minor quetion about a symptom they may have. The internet is a first step but you should always follow up with going to the doctor eventually.
